About the project
APC Hub is a real web system to be used by students and teachers for online lectures, interact with other students, access educational material, grades and other features. The ideation and redesign was challenging in many layers in order to fulfill all the aspects of the product. Focusing on user-centered throughout the design process, the usability and navigation were improved in the name of greater user experience.
\\ PROBLEM
Both students and teachers have difficulty using the system, as the design was outdated, certain features were hidden from the user, and other resources were either useless or unclear.
\\ GOALS
Design a dashboard system that enhances students' experience with the software across all sections of the pages, providing comprehensive information. Create a digital experience that is easy to use on the go, based on research insights that complicated technology detracts from real-time engagement with lectures, assignment submissions, and other features.
\\ SITE MAP
Based on the research and persona discovery, I brainstormed, compiled and organized the necessary website content and functionality. Pre-redesign, the MyAPC.Hub website was heavy in redundant and obsolete information that didn’t provide much substance. I decided to include the most vital information in the new version to make it clean and easy to navigate.

\\ UI DESIGN
Before developing the first version of UI, I created most of the elements in the UI kit. I created a cohesive simple set of icons with the newly-developed branding, buttons, and a color palette using different shades of the logo. I wanted the new dashboard and internal pages to represent the more approachable and eye-catching new version of the Hub.
\\ TESTING
To get even more insight and feedback on the branding and usability, I tested the prototype on 10 potential users (age 18-35) to get enough feedback to implement it into the second round of iterations. After testing both versions is possible see a signficantly satisfation increasement. The test validated my registration process with 100% successful completion rate after A/B testing to compare both versions.
\\ OUTCOMES
The final outcome of the fitness centre mobile app was a user-friendly and engaging digital product that exceeded the client’s expectations. Users were able to easily view class schedules, watch online lectures, check transcription of the recorded lecture, visualize grades, and track their course progress, all within a seamless and intuitive app experience. As a result, the educational centre saw an increase in user engagement and loyalty, and the app has become an important part of their overall customer experience.
